Colorado Springs City Council will be adjusting the meeting times of both Work Sessions and Regular Meetings to 9:00 a.m. beginning permanently on November 12, 2024. Previous meetings generally began at 10:00 a.m.

This time change is designed to better accommodate Citizen Discussion for Items not on Agenda. Recently, City Council has been receiving increased discussion from the community regarding a range of subjects. To better serve constituents and provide a more consistent idea of when Citizen Discussion will take place, the City Council has decided to make this change.

“We value and encourage our citizens to come and speak to City Council. This is an important outlet for people to be able to speak to their elected officials in a public forum,” said Randy Helms, City Council President. “With this change we can better serve our constituents by giving them a more stable time so they can continue with their day instead of waiting to speak to Council.”

City Council Regular Meetings are set to occur on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month with the Work Session on the preceding Monday. The schedule is subject to change. For most up to date meetings and times see the City Council calendar of events at ColoradoSprings.gov/CityCouncil

Also note: Due to Veteran’s Day on November 11th, both the Work Session and Regular Meeting will take place on Tuesday, November 12th beginning at 9:00am.

All City Council meetings will continue to be broadcast on SpringsTV, Comcast Channel 18 and 880 (HD), and Facebook Live on the Colorado Springs City Council Page (@coscitycouncil).

Citizens wishing to speak at an upcoming Regular Meeting are encouraged but not required to sign up in advance by emailing allcouncil@coloradosprings.gov or calling 719-385-5480.
