On December 15th, 2023, the Colorado Springs Police Department initiated an investigation into a report of Sexual Assault on a Child by One in a Position of Trust involving 48-year-old Marco Lara, who is currently employed at Cheyenne Mountain High School.
The investigation revealed that Mr. Lara engaged in a sexual relationship with an underage juvenile, which resulted in Mr. Lara’s arrest on 12/28/2023. He was charged with Sexual Assault on a Child by One in a Position of Trust and Aggravated Incest. Investigators believe there may be other victims.
