Dublin Boulevard at Marksheffel Road will experience single-lane closures in each direction from Monday, Dec. 9 at 7 a.m. through Friday, Dec. 13 at 5 p.m. as crews remove center median islands to make room for future temporary traffic alignments.
The work is related to the Marksheffel Road Improvements project’s next phase.
All turning movements will be possible at the Dublin Boulevard / Marksheffel Road intersection during this work. Travel delays are expected during peak hours, and alternate routes are advised. Similar lane closures are planned on Marksheffel Road at Dublin Boulevard during the week of Dec. 15.
Major construction on Marksheffel Road between Barnes Road and Dublin Boulevard will begin in early 2025 and extend through late 2026. This is the second phase of planned construction on Marksheffel Road. Work between North Carefree Circle and Barnes Road (Phase 1) is complete except for paving the top layer of asphalt and placing final lane striping. Phase 1 finishing work will occur in late spring.
