Thanks to a several week closure that shaved two months off of the project schedule, Tutt Boulevard reopened this weekend with two lanes in each direction.

The project includes a new sidewalk, bike lanes and drainage improvements. Over the coming weeks, travelers in the area should expect occasional lane closures. This allows crews to finish work along the roadway. Completion should occur by mid-September.

The work was a joint project of Colorado Springs, El Paso County, and PPRTA. Voters approved it in 2012. Visit coloradosprings.gov/tuttextension for project maps and other details.
