Residents can share their experiences and views to inform the 2024 annual action plan for federal block grants

Colorado Springs’ residents are invited to offer their ideas and input to inform the City’s draft 2024 Annual Action Plan for the use of federal block grant funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on Tuesday, Oct. 17 or Wednesday, Oct. 18 at the City Administration Building.

The City of Colorado Springs Housing and Community Vitality Department hosts the public hearings, allowing residents, advocates and stakeholders to share their experiences and views.

Funds support affordable housing, homelessness prevention, economic development, nonprofit assistance and neighborhood and public infrastructure improvements for low- and moderate-income residents. Grant fund sources are the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Program.

The hearings can be attended in person, online virtually via Microsoft Teams, or by telephone.
