On Tuesday, April 18 at 10 a.m., City Council invites the media and public to join us for the swearing-in of the new District 3 and At Large Councilmembers. The ceremony is expected to take place on the Pioneers Museum South Lawn barring adverse weather conditions. Presiding Municipal Court Judge, HayDen Kane, will swear-in new Councilmembers voted on by the public in the April 4th General Municipal Election.

The North side of Vermijo Street will be closed from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. for the ceremony. The public is advised to use alternate routes and parking in that area will be limited. City garages will be open for attendee parking.
Following the ceremony there will be a reception on the Pioneers Museum Lawn. At 2 p.m., City Council will hold a Special Meeting in Council Chambers at City Hall to elect a new Council President and President Pro Tem.
The date and time of the swearing-in is set by City Charter.
