Registration is now open for the 13th annual Mayor’s Cup golf tournament. The event will begin at 7:15 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10 at The Broadmoor Golf Club’s West Course. The charity tournament has raised and donated more than $675,000 to the community since it began in 2012.

With tournament funds, scholarships are awarded each year to local students who plan to pursue degrees in public safety at Pikes Peak State College. The tournament also benefits First Tee – Southern Colorado and the Mayor’s Spirit of Colorado Springs initiatives.

“I am thrilled to host the 13th annual Mayor’s Cup Golf Tournament, a cherished tradition that brings our community together in the spirit of friendly competition,” said Mayor Yemi Mobolade. “This event not only promotes the game of golf, but it also creates opportunities for our students pursuing careers in public safety. I am proud of our city’s commitment to investing in education and recreational programs that make a positive impact in the lives of our young residents. I look forward to seeing everyone on the green as we enjoy a great day of golf and community impact.”
