On February 5, 2026, at 4:50 p.m., the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) received a call for service regarding a shooting in the 2500 block of Gunnison Street. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased male. All involved parties are believed to be accounted for.
On February 6, 2026, the El Paso County Coroner’s Office conducted an autopsy and identified the deceased victim as 54-year-old Donald Tallman. While the Coroner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of death, this is being investigated as a homicide. A photo of Mr. Tallman has been provided by the family.
