The waterline project in Garden of the Gods Park, which will improve water infrastructure as well as enhance safety and accessibility, will begin on Wednesday, Oct. 16. The project is expected to be completed by spring 2025. Garden of the Gods Park will remain open throughout construction with occasional and intermittent trail and road closures. Visitors are asked to use caution and follow all signage.
“We truly appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation as we begin the waterline project,” said Anna Cordova manager of Garden of the Gods Park. “We realize some of the detours and closures will be inconvenient at times, but our goal is to create as little disruption to park operations as possible. We are committed to maintaining access to Garden of the Gods Park and thank you for your understanding and support as we work together to preserve this National Natural Landmark.”
This project, a collaboration between Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services, Colorado Springs Utilities, the Colorado Springs Fire Department and the Office of Accessibility, aims to improve the water infrastructure as well as enhance safety and accessibility in Garden of the Gods Park.
