The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department will begin improvements on a segment of the Palmer-Mesa Trail on Monday, Aug. 3. The trail segment, located parallel to 30th Street, will be closed for the duration of the project, which is expected to last through the end of September.

Recent improvements to Cottonwood Creek Trail, which runs parallel to Cottonwood Creek, have created a direct route stretching from the Wolf Ranch neighborhood, located east of Powers Boulevard, to downtown Colorado Springs via the Santa Fe Regional Trail and Pikes Peak Greenway.
