The City of Colorado Springs and Norwood Development Group announced today that the Park Union neighborhood in downtown Colorado Springs has been named a winner of the 2021 Urban Land Institute (ULI) IMPACT Awards competition.

The Platte Avenue over Sand Creek project will be installing new girders as part of the bridge replacement Sept. 9 and 10, weather and resource dependent. To lessen traffic impacts, the installation is scheduled for overnight, 8 p.m. through 5 a.m.
Construction crews are expected to open Chaparral Road on the city’s eastside by Friday, completing a final phase of the Barnes Road improvement project, a PPRTA2 funded project that made major improvements to Barnes Road and other connecting roadways.
