The City of Colorado Springs Planning Department, in conjunction with the Economic Development Department, is proposing an update to the Unified Development Code (UDC) specific to the zoning regulations related to child day care centers. The goal of this update is to make regulations less restrictive, allowing both large and small day care facilities in more areas throughout the city. These changes aim to improve access to childcare for families, support local businesses, and childcare providers.

The City Planning Department will host an public open house for residents to learn more about the proposed childcare ordinance updates to the UDC.

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (“ADA”), and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, the City of Colorado Springs will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities, and those with Limited English Proficiency.
