The Legacy Loop is the realization of General Palmer’s vision for a greenspace encircling the Downtown area. Points of interest span the first days of Colorado Springs to Olympic City USA.

Legacy Plaza, 1800 Recreation Way

Access

  • Trail: Pikes Peak Greenway to Legacy Plaza (take the trail on the west side of the creek)
  • car (parking): Plenty of free parking at the Plaza
  • Mountain Metro Transit: Route 14, stop at Chestnut/Fontanero, then ride east on Fontanero to Recreation Way, and then south to the Plaza. For further information, use the Trip Planner at mmtransit.com.
  • Bike Share: visit https://www.pikeride.org/ to find the nearest e-bike station.
