City Engineering, as part of the City of Colorado Springs Public Works Department, permits private telecommunications providers to deploy the necessary infrastructure to ensure all Colorado Springs residents have access to telecommunications services such as cable television, broadband internet, and wireless coverage.

City Engineering oversees the City’s Cable Franchise Agreements with Comcast and Falcon Broadband, and master service agreements with providers (available upon request).

City Engineering works with other City departments and providers to streamline the permitting process for deployment of conduit and fiber-optic cable, small cell nodes, and other telecommunications facilities in the public Rights-of-Way.
