Get ready to celebrate this Saturday at the Downtown Winter Fest! There will be fun for the whole family at this street festival celebrating winter sports and cultural activities. The event is free and open to the public.

At the event, attendees will be able to watch the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 on a giant outdoor screen; meet U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes; enjoy live entertainment, food and beverage; watch sport and cultural demonstrations; take part in Learn to Skate activities; and much more.

Olympic City USA will host an interactive booth at the event with free giveaways and trivia that shares the history of the Olympic and Paralympic movement in Colorado Springs. Also, Olympic City USA merchandise will be sold onsite to help fans celebrate both Colorado Springs and Team USA, including a winter hat for a special event price of $20.

When: Saturday, Feb. 5 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Where: At and around the United States Olympic & Paralympic Museum’s Plaza (200 S Sierra Madre St, Colorado Springs, CO 80903).

This is the sixth Olympic and Paralympic-themed downtown celebration in Colorado Springs. The first was held in 2012 to help kickoff and celebrate the London 2012 Olympic Games. Road closures

Due to Saturday’s event, the following road closures will be in place from noon on Friday, Feb. 4 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5.

  • Sierra Madre Street between Costilla and Cucharras streets
  • Vermijo Avenue between Sierra Madre and Sahwatch streets
