Crimes that CAN be Reported Online:

  • Identity Theft
  • Theft or stolen property
  • Theft of license plates
  • Stolen Auto Parts
  • Break-ins to Property that is not attached to your home (a shed, barn, or detached garage)
  • Contractor theft
  • Signature Forgery
  • Scams involving cryptocurrency
  • Scams over the phone, text messages, or online
  • Lost Property
  • Supplemental information (must have your case number)
  • Theft from a construction site
  • Damage to business property
  • Employee Theft

Crimes that CANNOT be Reported Online

  • Crimes in progress (call 911)
  •  Violent crimes (Homicide, Assault, sexual assaults, child abuse, etc.)
  • Incidents with a known suspect
  • Robbery- You have been physically and forcably assaulted
  • Stalking 
  • Threats to you or your family
  • Domestic Violence
  • Hate crimes
  • Crimes that have occurred outside of Colorado Springs (except for ID theft)
