The Engineering Inspections team handles permitting and inspections for infrastructure construction associated with new development and for excavation and concrete work within existing public right-of-way and public utility/improvement easements, ensuring that streets, sidewalks, and other public infrastructure are constructed and restored in accordance with City standards, approved plans, and permit requirements.

Working Outside Standard City Hours
- A completed Request for Non-Standard Work Hours Form is required for work outside standard City hours.
- Requests must be emailed to Engineering.Inspections@ColoradoSprings.gov by 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday prior to weekend work, or at least 72 hours in advance for night or City holiday work.
- Weekend work is not permitted on arterial or collector roadways.
- Sunday work is not permitted on established/existing roadways not associated with new development.
- Inspector overtime, if required, will be billed to the permittee/contractor.
