The Tutt Boulevard extension will extend Tutt Boulevard from Dublin Boulevard to existing Tutt Boulevard, approximately 1,000 feet north. Phase 1 of the project, from Dublin to Vickie Lane, was completed in 2016. Phase 2, in 2024, will complete the roadway, widening Tutt to two lanes in each direction, with curb, gutter, sidewalks, pedestrian ramps, and storm drainage improvements from Vickie Lane northward. Significantly, it will improve traffic flow by eliminating the two 90 degree turns from Tutt to Vickie Lane to Templeton Gap.
The project is a PPRTA A-list project approved by voters in 2012. More information on PPRTA is available on the PPRTA website.
Key Elements
- Access to local businesses and neighborhoods will be maintained throughout construction
- A six-week closure of Tutt Boulevard from Vickie Lane to Spring Breeze Drive will allow the project to complete two months earlier than previously expected, weather permitting
- Vickie Lane will become a T-intersection with a stop sign at Tutt Boulevard. Tutt remains free flowing. Vickie Lane west of Tutt Boulevard, the current entry to Church for All Nations, and the current connection to Tutt there will be removed. The road will be removed and seeded with native vegetation
- The main entry to Church for All Nations will be via Vista Vision Drive
- Traffic flow and safety improvements
Construction Updates
Update: The closure of Tutt Boulevard between Vickie Lane and Spring Breeze Drive, scheduled to reopen in late July, has been extended to Aug. 21 due to severe weather impacts and unexpected utility conflicts under and around the roadway.
- Late May- Early June: Work primarily outside the roadway, including clearing of ground cover, utility and drainage work, and other preparation for primary construction.
- June 10- August 21: Closure of Tutt Boulevard between Vickie Lane and Spring Breeze Drive.
- September: Project completion
