The Pikes Peak Regional Office of Emergency Management (PPROEM) continues to lead the City’s response, as it has since Mayor Yemi took office in June 2023. This includes gathering and verifying intelligence, planning for future contingencies and scenarios, and putting mechanisms into place if a timely response is required. The City of Colorado Springs, under Mayor Yemi’s leadership, has developed a 2024 Strategic Doing Framework. This framework was informed by community input, and will help inform the City’s long-term strategic plan, which is actively being developed and will be published in the summer of 2024.
