Mayor Yemi Mobolade today released the City’s 2025 Strategic Doing Actions, plus a final report on Strategic Doing 2024. Strategic Doing is the City’s yearly focused action plan, which aims to move plans and ideas into action.
“I introduced Strategic Doing to the City shortly after I was sworn into office as a way to funnel community feedback and plans into actions that drive tangible change, and that’s exactly what we saw happen over the course of this past year,” said Mayor Yemi. “Our Strategic Doing Actions represent our annual contract with the community, and I’m pleased with the progress we made in our first full year utilizing this focused approach. Through this work, we are moving the City forward, and we look forward to building on this success in 2025.”
2025 Strategic Doing Actions
The 2025 Strategic Doing Actions, this year’s contract, are tied to the City’s five strategic priorities, which are public safety, infrastructure, housing solutions, economic vitality and community activation. There are a total of 101 actions nested under these priorities, which are all intentionally connected to the City’s Strategic Plan and based on feedback from the Community Satisfaction Survey, among other public feedback that was collected to build the Strategic Plan.
Five of the most impactful actions in 2025 are as follows:
- Public Safety – Leverage and implement technology to improve public safety efforts
- Infrastructure – Develop a traffic safety plan
- Housing Solutions – Complete the housing needs assessment and action plan
- Economic Vitality – Provide workforce development support to key economic development partners
- Community Activation – Launch a new GoCOS platform for enhanced resident engagement

2024 Strategic Doing Report
In 2024, the City set 54 actions, of which 44 were completed and 10 are in progress. Actions in progress have rolled into 2025 Strategic Doing. While not every action was fully achieved in 2024, significant progress was made in this first year of Strategic Doing. The final 2024 report shares successes and challenges.
