Valley Hi

Valley Hi Golf Course offers a magnificent scenic view of Pikes Peak and Cheyenne Mountain. It was constructed in 1956 as a private club and purchased by the city in 1975. The 18-hole, par 72 course offers some of the best manicured greens in the area. The course appears flat but features a few well-placed bunkers and lakes to add to the fun. This easily walkable, traditional design offers challenges for all ability levels. After a round of golf or a lesson, the restaurant is open year-round for cool drinks and a bite to eat and for enjoying the amazing view and sunsets from the patio and dining room.

Valley Hi is the home course of First Tee of Southern Colorado.  First Tee is a youth development organization that enables kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with a life skills curriculum, First Tee creates active learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that kids can carry into everything they do. First Tee is Building Game Changers through its junior golf programs.

Clubhouse Study

The process is underway to find the best solutions for our aging facilities. This includes addressing the roofing system, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and waste systems, asbestos abatement, and improvements to the proshop and restaurant. We value your opinion and will provide opportunities for input in early 2023.

Irrigation Improvements

The City of Colorado Springs has approved the allocation of $2.8 million in federal American Rescue Act (ARPA) funding to replace the outdated irrigation system, which is more than 36 years old. The irrigation system is now in the design phase and work is set to begin no later than in fall of 2024, depending on contractor availability. The new system will have better sprinkler spacing, resulting in better coverage and healthier turf. It will also offer a winter watering system and higher efficiency that could lead to 20% savings for the golf course.
