CSPD Partners with Local Organizations for 32ND Annual Toy Drive

On November 2, 2020, the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) Cadets placed Toy Drive donation boxes at each of our police stations and the Police Operations Center; and will accept donations of new, unwrapped gifts for kids and teens until December 18, 2020. In addition to helping collect toys, the Cadets will collaborate with Santa to deliver the gifts to local families. CSPD is proud to once again team up with Christmas Unlimited and Toys for Tots to ensure no family is left without holiday gifts.

“We are very appreciative for these partnerships to help better serve our community during the holiday season,” says Colorado Springs Police Department Chief Vince Niski. Adding, “We are extremely thankful for our community who continues to show up year after year to make this toy drive possible. We’re excited to be a part of this amazing program again this year.”

This year looks very different from our previous 31 years of taking part in this drive. With COVID-19 all toys will be held for 72 hours before any sorting and or distribution.

If anyone would like to nominate a family, Christmas Unlimited accepts nominations through their website here: http://www.christmasunlimited.org/how-to-apply-for-2020-toy-distribution... Additionally, CSPD officers, through their daily work routine, will identify and nominate families who may not have the resources to provide gifts for their children.
