In September 2020, the Colorado Springs Police Department received a report regarding a sexual assault involving a member of the Fountain Fire Department. The alleged suspect was identified as Dustin Vornholt of Englewood, Colorado.
Throughout the course of their investigation, CSPD detectives discovered enough evidence to obtain an arrest warrant. Mr. Vornholt was taken into custody by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office on October 6, 2020 for Sexual Assault (a class 4 felony) and Third Degree Assault (a class 1 misdemeanor).
