On September 13, 2022, the Colorado Springs Police Department investigated a Sexual Assault of a Child. The 13-year-old victim was approached by an unknown adult male while walking in the general area of the 3100 block of east Fountain Boulevard. The victim entered the suspect’s vehicle and was driven to an apartment in the 800 block of south Circle Drive where the victim was sexually assaulted by the male.
The investigation revealed evidence resulting in the identification of 47-year-old Wilbert Porter as the suspect. Mr. Porter was taken into custody on September 30, 2022, and subsequently charged with one count each of Sexual Assault on a Child, Enticement of a Child, and one misdemeanor count of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.
