Public Safety Technology
The Colorado Springs Police Department utilizes numerous types of technology to increase public safety throughout the City of Colorado Springs. These types of technology serve three purposes: to assist in ongoing calls for service and investigations by providing real-time information to officers in the field, leading to more safe and more efficient patrol and investigative responses; assist in enforcement and reporting crimes through programs like online reporting, and photo traffic enforcement; and assisting operational efficiencies with improved body-worn camera technology and report writing tools.
