Special Improvement Maintenance Districts
The City’s seven Special Improvement Maintenance Districts (SIMDs) are created under the City Code and are administered by the Parks Department. They provide for the maintenance of certain public improvements of general benefit to the residents of the district.
Each of the SIMDs has an Advisory Committee appointed by City Council. Resident members are needed to serve on these advisory Committees.
Effective January 1, 2022, the Briargate SIMD has been replaced by a GID which also has an advisory committee.
SIMD property owners interested in being a representative on one of these committees or learning more about the services and functions of the SIMDs, please contact John Gebhart, SIMD Administrator, at John.Gebhart@coloradosprings.gov.
