The I25: NTCI project will improve the southbound I-25 exit to S Nevada traffic movement and increase queuing capacity for the northbound S Nevada to northbound I-25. The project also includes improvements to pedestrian access in the area by bringing existing facilities up to current American with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards and widening some of the existing facilities to better accommodate multi-use transportation modes.
The nine-month project will provide:
- Increased lane capacity along the I-25 southbound connector road to S Nevada
- Additional traffic queuing for northbound S Nevada traffic by removing the through- movement from E Motor Way to E Arvada St.
- Signal upgrades at four intersections
- Improved pedestrian and bicycle access through the corridor
- ADA upgrades to infrastructure
- Improved signage and wayfinding
